He sold out London's Alexandra Palace's 10,400 seats twice last month.
Paolo Nutini is a music superstar, even if you don't know his name yet.
The son of Italian immigrants, the Scottish-born singer-songwriter has a rich voice with as much juxtaposition as his Scottish drawl has with his Italian name and looks.
His third UK #1 album, Last Night In The Bittersweet, marked the artist's return to music after eight years and booted Harry Styles from the #1 spot. He previously topped the UK Albums Chart with 2009's Sunny Side Up and once again with Caustic Love in 2014, while his debut album These Streets peaked at #3 in 2006.
Nutini will perform at the State Theatre in Sydney on Wednesday, 12 April 2023. Tickets will go on sale next Thursday, 1 December, at noon. The pre-sale begins two days earlier, on Tuesday, 29 November, at noon - subscribe for pre-sale tickets here.
After witnessing his Abbey Road live recording session, the Iron Sky singer gained a fan in Adele, who wrote, "This is one of the best things I've ever seen in my life, hands down".
Nutini has also received comparisons to Joe Cocker.

Once the iconic singer passed away, The Telegraph UK dubbed Nutini his "successor". The publication labelled him "The best British male soul singer this century" and commented further, "The great Joe Cocker sadly died before Christmas. His successor already seems firmly installed in the hearts of the British public. Paolo Nutini’s ripped-throat vocals squeeze passion from every note in a way inevitably reminiscent of the late Sheffield soul man."
Also performing at the State Theatre in Sydney is Buddy Guy, who will embark on his final show in the city for his Damn Right Farewell Australian Tour. The last concert will happen on Friday, 14 April 2023. The Slow Blues artist performs at Bluesfest in Byron Bay on Saturday, 8 April, and Bluesfest Melbourne on Sunday, 9 April. Buddy Guy was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2005. He has influenced everyone from Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Gary Clark Jr, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and just about every guitar player who has played the Blues, Blues Rock, and Hard Rock over the past 70 years.
Bluesfest Touring Director Peter Noble OAM said about Guy, "It is the absolute truth to say that Buddy Guy is the last of the greats of the Blues performing today, who also brought the Electric Blues to the world, alongside Muddy Waters, BB King, John Lee Hooker, Albert King and many others from that time.
"Bluesfest Touring is honoured to be selected to present Buddy Guy as he bids his fans in Australia goodbye next April."
