Bob Bryar, the former drummer of My Chemical Romance, has been found dead in his home at the age of 44. The musician, who was a key member of the seminal emo band during their rise to fame in the mid-2000s, was discovered in his Tennessee home on Tuesday, according to reports from TMZ.

Bryar was last seen alive on November 4. While the cause of death remains unclear, TMZ reports that authorities do not suspect foul play. Animal Control reportedly found his body while responding to a call to remove two dogs from his home. A medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Bryar was a prominent member of My Chemical Romance from 2004 to 2010, serving as the band's drummer during their most successful years. He joined the band after meeting Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero, and Ray Toro while working as a sound tech on tour with The Used. He replaced the band’s original drummer, Matt Pelissier, shortly after the release of their second album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge.

Bryar's time with My Chemical Romance included performances on their critically acclaimed third album The Black Parade. He also experienced multiple injuries while on tour, including third-degree burns during the shooting of the Famous Last Words music video. In 2007, Bryar faced significant wrist problems that affected his ability to perform, but he continued to tour with the band until their 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

In 2010, Bryar left My Chemical Romance, with the departure described as a difficult decision, and Iero wished Bryar the best in his future endeavors. After leaving the band, Bryar stepped away from the music industry and focused on other endeavours including real estate, even auctioning off My Chemical Romance memorabilia to support animal rescue organizations.
