Cincinnati-based glam-pop act Foxy Shazam have signed to the recently re-launched I.R.S. Records (in conjunction with EMI and Crush Management). Their currently untitled I.R.S debut is set to be released in January of 2012. The album will be the follow up to 2010's self titled album which was released through Sire Records. The Soundwave 2012 lineup is schedueled to be announced on Friday night, but the rumours have already began, sparked by rumour junkie Nui Te Koha who has so far made the right call on bands from the Big Day Out line-up.

New Beginnings Festivals 2012 boasts zombies, water parks and Vengaboys

Respected local metal outfit The Red Shore have announced their plans to call it a day. The decision has seemingly been on the cards since the band took an extended break at the start of 2011.

 The Maine have released details about the band's upcoming full length album.The album will be called Pioneer and is det to be released in late November or early December of this year.Pioneer, the band's third full length and follow up to 2010's Black and White, was recorded with producer Colby Wedgeworth at Sonic Ranch in El Paso, Texas.In an interview with Alternative Press earlier in the year, The Maine frontman John O'Callaghan described the band's new music;"As far as the songs are concerned, I’m really excited about how they turned out. I don’t think it’s what people are expecting to hear from us. For us as artists, I think it’s an imperative record to put out. We need to take it to where we took it right now in order to open up doors in the future for us, as far as our sound is concerned. It’s a lot more rock ’n’ roll driven. The Gaslight Anthem have signed to Mercury Records which is the current home of Neon Trees, Portishead, Noel Gallagher and more. A spokesperson for Gaslight's former label, SideOneDummy Records confirmed the deal, “We can confirm this. We are super-happy for the dudes in Gaslight and wish them the best!” The band's major-label debut and follow up to 2010's American Slang can be expected next year. Behemoth have posted the new music video for their song "Lucifer". The song is taken from the band's latest album "Evangelion", which is out now through Metal Blade Records.

Man Overboard released their new self-titled album last week through Rise Records, and they are now offering a free download of the track "Night Feelings" from the album.

As I Lay Dying have posted their cover of the Judas Priest track "Electric Eye". The cover is taken from the band's upcoming tenth anniversary release, "Decas", which will contain three new tracks, several covers, and several remixes. The album will be released on November 8 through Metal Blade Records.

Wavelets have launched a stream of their new album "Athaletics" onto their Punknews.org profile page. The album will be released later this month on digital and vinyl formats through Tiny Engines Records.
