Arizona rock band The Maine have posted an acoustic rendition of their track, 'Take Me Dancing'. The song is a b-side from their latest release, 'Pioneer', which hit the stores last year via Action Theory Records.

Western Sydney pop punk band Your Weight In Gold are premiering a new song called 'Never Looking Back' on their Facebook page tonight at 11:30 pm. The track will be featured on the band's upcoming debut EP, which will be self-released towards the end of next month.

Emo-pop boys The Higher have announced they are breaking up.Their official statement is as follows:"To whom it may concern,What measures success in music? Today it's extremely hard to tell, and I don't see it getting any easier in the future. To me, (Robert Ragan aka Reggie) The Higher was successful because I had an amazing time doing it. Everyday on the road brought a new adventure, a new challenge, and new way of viewing the world. We were able to tour the US and Canada more than a dozen times, Japan 5 times, UK 1 time. We had 2 top 10 singles in Japan, a number 1 video in Japan, and were able to play their version of Coachella which they call Fuji Rock. In the US, we didn't see the same results we did in Japan, but we didn't go unnoticed by any means. The 6 years i spent playing with The Higher will probably be best times ill ever have in my life. Great stories to tell the grandkids......well some will have to wait till they're older, but you get it. We played like shit some nig...

Hollister, California-based metal/hardcore crossover Leaders have joined the Facedown Records family. Before going through a line-up and name change in 2011, Leaders shared the stage with Flyleaf, Blindside, and Brian "Head" Welch as AllOrNothing. Now, Leaders are storming onto the hardcore and metal scenes with their powerful debut album 'Now We Are Free.'

Austin Gibbs has announced the official tracklisting for his upcoming EP, 'Fall 2011 (Live).' The EP will be released on Feb. 14 with pre-orders currently available.

Pelican have released a new song for free download titled Lathe Biosas. The track will appear on the band's upcoming EP 'Ataraxia/Taraxis,' set for release on April 10 via Southern Lord.

Blink-182 bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus has stated in a recent interview that he has already began writing new material for a new Blink-182 release. Hoppus said: "I’m sure these will all be Blink songs at the moment. I don’t have any plans to write songs with anybody else right now. If I do, it’ll be a collaboration or a one-off thing, but everything I’m writing right now is for Blink-182." ... "It’s really too early to tell. At the moment all I’ve got is a bunch of chord progressions and ideas. It’s more me playing my guitar and coming up with little ideas and melodies. By the time it goes to Tom and Travis and we work on it as a band, who knows what it will sound like."

Make Do And Mend have announced that Luke Schwartz has now officially joined the band on bass. The band posted the following about the addition: "Make Do And Mend has a new bass guitarist. His name is Luke Schwartz and he is our best friend. He is the best thing to happen to this band in a long time, so please welcome him to the MDAM family with open arms."

As a part of their recently relaunched "Transit Thursdays" video series, where they post an acoustic cover every Thursday of a band that has had an influence on them, or a band that they love, Transit have posted a cover of the Northstar track "Pollyanna".

The Weakerthans front man John K. Samson has posted the new music video for his song "Longitudinal Centre". The song is taken from Samson's debut solo album "Provincial", which is out now through Epitaph Records.
