“I’m so excited to present 'Technicolour' to the world!"

After posting teasers in recent weeks, Montaigne has finally unveiled Australia’s official 2021 Eurovision song, Technicolour.

The Aussie artist will sing the “uplifting and powerful anthem” at Eurovision Song Contest in the Netherlands this May.

“I’m so excited to present Technicolour to the world! I think it does it all — makes you want to cry, makes you want to dance, makes you want to take on a malignant corporate power — and I think that it is both forward-thinking and suitable for Eurovision,” Montaigne said.

Creative Director of Eurovision – Australia Decides and Director of Blink TV Paul Clarke added: “Technicolour begins by addressing the universal and personal challenges of the pandemic, then it empowers you to be a superhero and rise above. It’s all done with Montaigne’s cheeky sense of humour, at once vulnerable and kinda fierce.

“I’m expecting some deep and moving music this year at Eurovision, but we are flicking the switch to empowerment with Montaigne and turning the volume right up.”
