Tickets for Midnight Oil’s The Great Circle tour have hit resale websites for over $1000 after the band yesterday warned their fans to avoid resellers.
A statement released by the Oil's tour promoter read, "the band does not profit from, nor support, [unofficial ticketing company] re-sale activities", however, as noted by Music Feeds, tickets are already being resold online for more than five times the cost of an original ticket.

For example, while floor tickets for the shows are currently on sale for $142, tickets to the iconic group's now-sold out gig in Sydney on 11 November are available on Ticketmaster Resale for up to $573.85 each, while GA tickets to their Perth show on 28 October can be bought for over $600.
An eBay user has also listed two tickets for Midnight Oil's Sidney Myer Music Bowl show in Melbourne on 6 November at $1525.
It should be noted that Midnight Oil have announced extra shows in Sydney and Melbourne will be announced shortly due to the quick sell-outs.
The Music has contacted Midnight Oil's representatives for comment.
