Melbourne DJ Courtney Mills has passed away, aged 37. She died after falling from a hotel balcony in Kuta, Bali, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) confirmed to ABC.
Mills was an artist, model, and internet personality. Her family said she fell from a hotel balcony on Friday (10 January) and was taken to the hospital with significant injuries before she passed away on Sunday (12 January).
Her sister, Kiani Mills, told ABC that her sister loved visiting Bali. Commenting on Courtney’s enthusiasm for music, Kiani added: “Every time she got behind those DJ decks, she was free. It was absolutely incredible to see.”
In an Instagram post, Kiani wrote, “We can’t begin to imagine a world without your vibrance & spark!
“We know you have found peace, we know you have found happiness, but we will miss you every single day!”

She performed alongside artists such as The Potbelleez, The Stafford Brothers, and John Course, among others, taking over venues in Australia and abroad, making her name in countries such as Malaysia and Vietnam.
In a tribute to Mills, talent agency That Sound Agency described her as an “incredible soul who brought joy, energy, and passion to everywhere she graced.”
The post continued, “Courtney Mills was not just a brilliant DJ; she was the heartbeat of every party, a vibrant spirit who connected us all.
“We are grateful for the moments we shared and the memories we created together.
“Rest in peace, Your light will never fade.”
