A Melbourne club that was the target of a police investigation this year following two drug-related deaths is now up for sale.

Hawthorn's Room 680 has today been listed as an "iconic hospitality establishment" on the Real Commercial property website, just months after police raided the nightclub, resulting in one man being charged with possessing and trafficking 85 ecstasy tablets.

11 other punters at the venue on 13 August were also caught by police with drugs.

The raid came on the back of two suspected drug-related deaths of a 19-year-old female in May last year and a 17-year-old male in July.

Just last month, Room 680 owner David Christensen denied any knowledge of illegal drugs being consumed in his venue.

"I've been in the industry a long time and I have a good record," Christensen said.

"I'm sure if the police had more information they would inform me."

Room 680 is yet to publicly address the sale, though according to its Facebook page, a ticketed NYE event is still scheduled to go ahead.
