Meatloaf has collapsed mid-performance while on stage at the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Canada.
Although many were incorrectly stating that the 68-year-old singer had passed away after the show, he is thankfully alive and well. A representative for Meatloaf (real name Michael Lee Aday) says that the collapse was attributed to severe dehydration.
Meatloaf was in the middle of his 80’s hit, 'I would do anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)' when he suddenly dropped the mic and collapse to the stage floor. While we would love to say this is an isolated event, it is not the first time this has taken place. In 2003 at Wembley Arena in London, and also in 2011 at a show Pittsburgh, similar events took place. The singer continues to state that he suffers from asthma as well as a condition that causes an irregular heartbeat. It's unclear whether this has been the cause of this recent health scare.
A post to his Facebook page stated that "His vital signs are stable and normal and additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well. He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone's support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery".

All I can say is that we hope that Meatloaf keeps going strong. We don’t want the world to lose another musical powerhouse in 2016 just yet.
