Beloved rock band Mayday 五月天 are heading to Australia in February 2025, celebrating their 25th anniversary with an exclusive one-night-only show in Sydney.
The band, which will perform at Accor Stadium, Sydney, on Saturday, 22 February, consists of five members: band leader and lead guitarist Monster, vocalist Ashin, rhythm guitarist Stone, bassist Masa, and drummer Ming.
The group have taken home numerous awards throughout their career, including the Golden Melody Award for Best Band, an award given by the Taiwanese Ministry of Culture, in 2001, 2004, 2009 and 2012.
Mayday’s upcoming Australian show comes after their sold-out 2023 tour down under. A mainstay of Mandarin rock, Mayday are the first Mandarin rock band to headline Accor Stadium.

Throughout 2024, Mayday have celebrated their 25th anniversary with their #5525 tour, which took fans throughout the band’s impressive journey with an exciting stage show and song selections.
To date, Mayday have released nine albums, three concert films, two documentaries, have embarked on 13 themed concert tours, and 588 large-scale concerts. One of the most popular and influential bands in Asian music history, they’ve captured fans’ hearts with the sentiment, “There’s a Mayday song in everyone’s heart.”
According to a press release, the band’s recent main stage featured a giant LED sphere called the “Time Machine,” complemented by “five floating dancing balls” that extended the visual impact.
Mayday’s stage set-up consisted of 13,000 custom-made 360-degree curved surface LED display panels, delivering 16K visual resolution. The visual system, powered by Disguise media servers, showcased an unparalleled audio-visual experience.
The group’s Sydney show is set to feature a “meticulously crafted stage” that will outline Mayday’s 25-year journey in music. The band will offer a “deeply moving and memorable performance for fans and critics alike.”
