Yep, it's happened again! I, Valiance have parted ways with their latest vocalist, Daniel Konstantinou. So auditions are open once more.

Oh man... I, Valiance just cannot seem to catch a break.

The Melbourne band announced on Saturday, November 26th, that they are once again left without a vocalist with Daniel Konstantinou (ex-I Exalt, not pictured above) stepping down from the band after just five months with the group. This leaves the quartet to once more hold auditions to source a new pair of lungs for the band. (And shit, I just realised that I probably did jinx this, after all.

According to I, Valiance, they're looking for "all sorts of vocalists who think they can bring something interesting to the table. A vocalist who strives to push the boundaries, willing to experiment and also willing to put their whole mother fucking heart into their art. Someone who is willing to just be themselves, because at the end of the day we are surrounded by so much facade that it's fucking absolutely draining." So, if you think you can bring something to the table for the group's sound or you're just a really good screamer who can hold a candle to former vocalists, Simon Kuiper and Mark Poida (who is currently in Aversions Crown), then pick up an instrumental copy of their EP, contact the band via email or just chuck them a message on their Facebook to try out to be the next I, Valiance vocalist. You won't know unless you try!

A rather honest and candid statement posted by the band about their sound, personalities, album and vocalist search can be read below:

"Sup cousins,

So as some of you may already know,

Daniel has left the band to pursue other things and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

It's been a rough one for us in our search for a vocalist since Mark left but one thing is for sure, for as long as I am standing I won't stop till the music is out there.

For the past few years we have been slowly piecing an album together but obviously due to our vocalist situation the album continuously keeps getting delayed. A good portion of the material we've held onto since 2012, so the delay for us is equivalent to severe constipation. Our musical bowels are about a hair away from imploding.

When our very first vocalist left back in 2011, we recruited the only other vocalist we really knew who was Mark Poida. His inclusion in the band meant that our sound leaned towards the "deathcore sound". He also had a huge influence on the art we used, that's why the dramatic change from the reject artwork to the current artwork we are using now (for example the artwork used for Eye, Visualise).

Let me reassure you that we had never planned to be a deathcore band and we still don't. Our music and our whole artistic approach has always been about just genuine expression. To be as authentic as possible. Hence the silly posts since we don't want to come across as a business and more so people, because that's just it, we are just people trying to express ourselves in a world that looks down upon self expression in its purest form. The music itself is a cocktail of everything we like about every genre underneath the "metal/hardcore/punk" spectrum with a few other genres and themes (like clowns coz I like clowns coz they are Fuckin dope) that we are inspired by thrown in.

Now with that being said, we are now opening our doors once again for vocal auditions but not to just deathcore vocalists. We encourage all sorts of vocalists who think they can bring something interesting to the table. A vocalist who strives to push the boundaries, willing to experiment and also willing to put their whole mother fucking heart into their art. (That rhymed, I'm KDot bitch).

Someone who is willing to just be themselves, because at the end of the day we are surrounded by so much facade that it's fucking absolutely draining.

So, if you vibe what we are about and you want a crack at taking the spot, then chuck us an email, chuck us a message, or find either me (Matias), Gabe, Krys or David and chuck us a personal message.

We look forward to hearing from you :)

Also FUCK Reece Mastin"

Now, like many, I adored their previous EP, 'The Reject Of Humanity' and have been eagerly awaiting a full-length release from this extreme outfit. And as the band stated above, having their album being constantly delayed is akin to never-ending constipation. Or like drowning literally inches beneath the waves surfaces. Or like being on a train that keeps breaking down mere seconds from the station. Or like being stuck on the cusp of a really good orgasm that is just ever so slightly out of carnal reach. Alright, I've run out of expressions for this situation.

In all seriousness, though, maybe I,V should just hire a bunch of other metal-orientated vocalists to sing and/or scream on a track each from the album. I mean, come on, CJ McMahon isn't doing much lately in terms of vocals, Rheese Peters is now in Semper Fi and he would fit the I,V's sound really well, as would Dylan Gillies-Parsons from Gravemind now that I think about it. If funds are an issue, setting up a GoFundMe page or some other crowdfunding platform to pay for the respective vocalists could work, and I'm sure many listeners (myself definitely included) would be happy to pass on a couple bucks just to finally get the fucking album out. Hell, I'm quite confident that a lot of their band peers would be down for it too - whether these external vocalists charge a mates rate or even offer it as a generous free favour to the band. As well as having their album out, it would also provide the band with momentum and time to lock down a full-time member so they can tour and you know, continue to be a really solid band!

But hey, that's just me spitballing ideas, so in the meantime, I think its time to give 'Eye Visualize' another spin...
