MEMO Music Hall in St Kilda has partnered with Renegade Films, the makers of RocKwiz, to livestream music events. Plans were already in the pipeline with Renegade Films in reaction to the closure of indoor entertainment venues due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The series debuts on 5 Apr ilat 7.30pm with a livestream of Kate Ceberano & Co. Ceberano was due to perform the same show live at MEMO with her band - a loose collective of friends and players delivering a different show each time - on the same date (the actual live show has been rescheduled to October). Musicians will be able to perform at the current Government social distancing guidelines of 1.5m apart in the venue.

“We feel it is important to continue to support artists and the live music industry at this time, and give music lovers an event to look forward to that is live and safely intimate," MEMO’s management team, Leticia Maher and Simon Myers, said in a joint statement.

"This is the first of many others we are planning into the future. The cost has been deliberately kept at a low $10 for this show, and the fees are split between MEMO, Renegade Films and the artists.”

Tickets to the livestream can be bought here.
