Including Falls Music & Arts Festival here in Australia

Events juggernaut Live Nation has unveiled a new initiative called the Festival Passport, granting access to more than 90 events worldwide for a single set fee, including the Falls Music & Arts Festival here in Australia.

Announced this morning on the company's social media channels, the Festival Passport costs $US799 — or about $1080 in local dollarydoos — and includes entry to more than 40 festivals in the United States, and almost 50 across Europe.

Some of the choice cuts from the smorgasbord include several Lollapalooza festivals, including Chicago, Paris and Berlin, as well as the Austin City Limits Music Festival, Bonnaroo, Governors Ball, EDC Las Vegas and Orlando, Download Festival England, Madrid and Paris, Parklife, Creamfields (and Creamfields Steel Yard), Reading and Leeds, the Isle Of Wight Festival, Latitude Festival, Rock am Ring and a ridiculous list of other destination festivals sure to be on more than a few bucket lists out there.

Falls is the only Australian festival to make the cut, though which of its locations the pass covers is not specified.

Of course, the $1000 price tag only actually gets you into the events covered by the pass, and doesn't include all those niggling extras like, you know, travel and accommodation and on-site costs like food and beverage and such, but, still, seems like a pretty good deal if you've got the time and cash to splurge.

The Live Nation Festival Pass goes on sale from 10am PST this coming Monday, 22 May — for those of you serious about it, that's 3am Tuesday local time. There will only be a limited number available (CBS suggests 1000), so you'll want to move quickly.

See the website for more info, including the full list of participating festivals, and terms and conditions.
