In a saddening turn of events, LEVELS's Sydney expansion abruptly ended only three months after its debut event.
The dance event, dubbed “Sydney’s Number 1 Saturday Night Destination,” announced its closure through Instagram on Thursday morning (16th May), citing that it would no longer be running via Chicane Sydney.
In a post captioned “NEW HOME. SAME VIBE. 2024. See you soon,” promoters announced that the closure of LEVELS in Chicane wouldn’t be the end of Sydney’s time with the club experience, as the company is simply closing up shop temporarily to work on returning bigger and better and fostering a new home ground.
“To our devoted Levels family, It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Levels Sydney at Chicane, effective immediately,” the statement reads. “But rest assured, this isn't goodbye; it's a temporary pause.
“We're committed to returning stronger, better, and more dedicated than ever, ready to deliver the Levels experience that Sydney not only craves but deserves.
“To stay informed about our comeback and be among the first to know about our reopening plans, keep an eye on our social media channels and join our mailing list via our website.

“Sydney, this isn't goodbye. See you soon. 2024.”
Opening their doors in February of this year, LEVELS Sydney boasted a partnership with red neon-filled R&B club Chicane on Bayswater Road in Potts Point. The DJ event filled the underground space with the likes of House, R&B, and EDM every Saturday night since February 2024.
The event was modelled as an extension of the already-popular Melbourne branch of LEVELS, a rooftop bar situated on the lively King Street. LEVELS Melbourne has hosted DJs of all genres, including international act Latto, Grammy-nominated producer Macon, and UK crowd-pleaser David Rust.
LEVELS Director Boris Radman has yet to comment on the temporary closure of the company's Sydney leg.
