After Laneway Festival made headlines across the globe with Clairo performing alongside fellow headliners Charli XCX and beabadoobee at this year’s event, festival organisers have confirmed the event will return in 2026.
This year’s edition of Laneway Festival was an enormous success. Not only did it give Australian fans a brat summer, but it also sold out in multiple cities, restoring faith in the Australian music festival scene. With its massive line-up and summer vibes, the success of Laneway is terrific to see.
Laneway 2025 was witnessed by 200,000 music fans across sold-out dates in Auckland, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth, becoming the most successful event in the festival’s 20-year history. 40,000 punters also attended the Laneway Festival sideshows.
The height of success of this year’s edition isn’t lost on festival co-founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio.
“On behalf of the extended Laneway Festival team, we would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the artists, amazing people behind the scenes and the beautiful music fans who made the 2025 edition of Laneway our new North Star,” the pair commented in a statement.
They continued, “The team puts so much effort into making sure both our punters and artists have an incredible experience, and it is such a joy to see it all come together.

Reviewing Laneway Festival Sydney in 2023 – a line-up that featured HAIM, Fred again.., Phoebe Bridgers, Fontaines D.C. and more – for The Music, David James Young described the event as “Slickly run, well executed and confidently putting its best foot forward after a long period of uncertainty surrounding Australian festivals’ sustainability as a whole”, calling Laneway’s vibes “hopeful”.
Young continued, “Not only can this be done, but it can also be done well – maybe even better than it’s ever been. Watch this space.”
