All ten dates of Kylie Minogue’s upcoming Las Vegas residency sold out in minutes after facing unprecedented demand for tickets.

Minogue’s Vegas shows promise to be “more than a residency”. As Rolling Stone reports, the Spinning Around singer is the first-ever headliner at the new Las Vegas venue, Voltaire, inspired by the Broadway theatre and former disco space Studio 54.

A spokesperson for Voltaire said that they are aware of “technical difficulties” that occurred during the ticket sale. “There was an overwhelming demand for tickets to see Kylie Minogue,” the spokesperson added in a statement to a fan, per the Celebrate Kylie Facebook page.

The representative for Voltaire added, “More than 32,000 unique visitors with 1 million views to the website happened all at one time.” The Voltaire team are “actively working” on a solution for future shows, so more fans can have more luck purchasing tickets.

Tickets to Minogue’s Voltaire residency went on sale on Wednesday, 9 August. Her residency begins on the 3rd of November and lasts into January 2024.

“We are aware of technical difficulties that affected voltairelv.com for the Kylie Minogue on sale,” a statement from Voltaire reads. “If you received an initial email that your ticket purchase was impacted, you should be receiving an email from a dedicated support specialist with the next steps.”

Minogue’s Vegas residency follows a kind of career resurgence for the Australian singer, spurred on by the uber-successful single, Padam Padam. It also begins shortly after she drops her new album, Tension, on Friday, 22 September, via BMG.

Minogue explained her inspiration behind the residency, “I was thinking years ago I want to do it when I’m younger like, I don’t want to do it when I’m at the sunset of my career,” in a statement, per Variety.

“So, I think I’ve got it right somewhere in the middle where I feel like I’ve earned the right to and have the experience to really enjoy being there.”
