Kylie Minogue is officially heading to Las Vegas to host her very own residency. You know you’ve made it when you’ve joined the ranks of Adele, Katy Perry and Maroon 5 and enthral Vegas audiences night after night, and in Minogue’s case, for months.

According to a video posted to her Twitter (or X) account, Minogue’s Vegas shows promise to be “more than a residency”. As Rolling Stone reports, the On A Night Like This singer is the first-ever headliner at the new Venetian venue, Voltaire, inspired by Studio 54.

Her residency begins on the 3rd of November and lasts into January 2024. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, 9 August.

“I was thinking years ago I want to do it when I’m younger like, I don’t want to do it when I’m at the sunset of my career,” Minogue explained in a statement, per Variety. “So, I think I’ve got it right somewhere in the middle where I feel like I’ve earned the right to and have the experience to really enjoy being there.”

Teasing a mix of “intimate moments” and “flashy stuff”, she added, “I want it to be the kind of essence of what a Kylie show has become, enough glamour and abandon.

“I’ve got some versions of songs that have not been heard, like reinterpretations of songs, which is exciting. Live bed dances, amazing costumes. That’s the base, and then we’ll see what surprises we can come up with.”

Minogue’s Vegas residency follows a kind of career residency for the Australian hitmaker, spurned on by the uber-successful single, Padam Padam. It also begins shortly after she drops her new album, Tension, on Friday, 22 September, via BMG.

On the new album, Minogue stated, “I started this album with an open mind and a blank page. Unlike my last two albums, there wasn’t a ‘theme,’ it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to service the song. I wanted to celebrate each song’s individuality and to dive into that freedom. I would say it’s a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic high.”
