Knotfest will return to Australia in March 2024, taking over the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on Thursday, 21 March, followed by Sydney’s Centennial Park on Saturday, 23 March, and Brisbane’s Showgrounds on Sunday, 24 March.
All three dates of the inaugural Knotfest Australia sold out in advance. As well as the bands mentioned above, the festival locked in Amon Amarth, In Flames, Knocked Loose and local legends such as Northlane, Alpha Wolf and Void Of Vision.
The festival also notably featured a clash-free setup, with all the bands performing over two adjacent stages.
Reviewing the Brisbane edition for TheMusic.com.au, Tim Price said this year’s Knotfest “was a RESOUNDING success” and gushed of Slipknot’s closing salvo: “Blasting through tracks that spanned their entire career, this was an experience far more than simply a festival set.”
Thursday March 21 – Naarm/Melbourne, Flemington Racecourse
Saturday March 23 – Eora/Sydney, Centennial Park
Sunday March 24 – Meanjin/Brisbane, Brisbane Showgrounds
