Knotfest Australia has officially sold out!
With the exception of UNIFY Gathering, Australian punk, hardcore and metal fans have been starved for a top-tier, world-class heavy music festival since the downfall of Soundwave in 2016.
But, recently announced news from the team at Knotfest Australia, highlighting the fact that all three Australian tour dates in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne have completely sold out, has proved that demand for heavy music in Australia is still well and truly alive.
Kicking off on Friday 24 March at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne before hitting both Sydney and Brisbane, Knotfest is set to bring the likes of Slipknot, Parkway Drive, Megadeath, Northlane, Story of the Year and more together.
Originally announced back in October 2022, after what felt like years of rumours and speculation, Knotfest Australia became the latest in a long line of international editions of the acclaimed festival, following in the footsteps of Knotfest Japan, Mexico, Columbia, Canada, Germany, Finland, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Italy.

The inaugural edition of Knotfest Australia also marks the first time headline act, and curators of the event, Slipknot will be touching down on Australian shores since their last Aussie tour back in 2016, in support of their album 5: The Gray Chapter.
The sellout news comes off the back of Knotfest organisers announcing that punters can expect a ‘clash-free Timetable’, with only two stages and all bands playing back to back, in a bid to avoid anyone missing anything the entire day.
