The inaugural Knotfest Australia – all three dates of which sold out in advance – featured headlining sets from Slipknot themselves, as well as Parkway Drive and Megadeth. 11 other bands rounded out the full lineup, including international heavyweights like Trivium, Amon Amarth, In Flames, Knocked Loose and Spiritbox, plus local legends like Northlane, Alpha Wolf and Void Of Vision.

The festival also notably featured a clash-free setup, with all the bands performing over two adjacent stages.

Reviewing the Brisbane edition for, Tim Price said this year’s Knotfest “was a RESOUNDING success”, and gushed of Slipknot’s closing salvo: “Blasting through tracks that spanned their entire career, this was an experience far more than simply a festival set.”
