"It’s going to be a very Dutch year," the Eurovision star teased.

Joost Klein is heading to Australia for the first time in December 2026.

The Dutch musician, rapper, singer, and former YouTuber is recognised for a run of successful singles and Eurovision appearances. Primarily a hip-hop artist who experiments with electronic music, Klein has released seven albums, two of which reached the Top 10 in the Netherlands.

He’s best known for tracks including Wachtmuziek (2022), Europapa (2024), Luchtballon (2024), as well as collaborations with Ski Aggu and Otto Waalkes on Friesenjung (2023), Eurovision star Käärijä on TRAFIK! (2024), and Tommy Cash on United by Music this year.

Klein’s song, Europapa, was selected to represent the Netherlands at last year’s Eurovision Song Contest, and subsequently became his first song to top the Dutch Top 40 and Single Top 100 Charts.

In December 2026, Klein will head to Australia and New Zealand—but the venues are to be confirmed.

We do know, though, that the shows begin in Auckland, New Zealand, on 29 November. He then heads to Australia, with shows booked in Melbourne (2 December), Brisbane (4 December), Sydney (5 December), and Perth (8 December).

Tickets for the Australia/New Zealand shows will be available in January 2026 – head to the Live Nation Australia website for more information.

Klein performed in the second semi-final of last year’s Eurovision Song Contest and qualified to perform in the final. However, he was disqualified from the competition after allegations of misconduct arose.

Last May, Klein was recorded by a camera operator against his will following his semi-final performance. It was alleged that the camera operator filmed Klein “against clearly made agreements.” The camera operator alleged that Klein reacted to the recording by making a “threatening move.”

After Klein denied any wrongdoing, the Swedish Prosecution Authority closed his case as it could not be proven that Klein’s behaviour “was capable of causing serious fear or that [he] had any such intention.”
