John Newman Cancels Brisbane Show Due To Illness

Point-of-purchase refunds available

British troubadour John Newman has been forced to cancel the final show of his Australian tour after losing his voice.

The show, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow at Brisbane's Eatons Hill Hotel, was the last in a fairly intense string of appearances for the musician over the past week, including his performance of Love Me Again at the 56th TV WEEK Logie Awards, which was easily one of the better things that particular program had to offer.

But you can't (or shouldn't) fight doctors' orders, and so Newman will head back to England to rest and recover, presumably reclining in a chair somewhere rolling in money (but not laughing; that is bad for a recovering throat) while his debut full-length Tribute keeps destroying the charts.

If you were one of the unlucky souls who was set to see Newman in Brisbane tomorrow, don't fret – at least financially. Your money will be refunded via the original point of purchase, an automatic process if you booked online or over the phone. As far as the emotional pain of missing out… we can't help you.
