“For me, this isn’t just an album—it’s the album,” Bonham declared in a statement. “Physical Graffiti has always been my ultimate Led Zeppelin record, and I set out to honour its 50th Anniversary with 50 unforgettable shows. That vision now looks more like 80 shows!
“My last tour of Australia and New Zealand was nothing short of electrifying, and I know the April tour will raise the bar even higher. I’m counting down the days until JBLZE share our final powerful, celebration of Physical Graffiti together.”
Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening last toured Australia in April 2023. Discussing playing the Physical Graffiti classic, Kashmir, at his shows, he told The Music ahead of that tour: “In 79, when he [John Bonham] played it, at the end, he added these amazing fills, so it always stuck with me that the first time the guys heard Kashmir came from dad.
“That’s one of the best things you could ever say. It stands up to him. It’s probably the second biggest Led Zeppelin song there is - he was a pretty, pretty good drummer.”
