East coast dates to complement his Bluesfest performance.
He was one of the most raved about acts who appeared at this year's Splendour In The Grass festival and it seems that Jake Bugg's star has only risen in the months that have passed since then. He's loved by critics, fellow musicians (he even got props from the great Billy Bragg) and the greater public and this young indie-blues troubadour is coming back to Australia early next year to give us another chance to see him live.
Bugg has just released the Rick Rubin produced Shangri La, his second record, which sees the 19-year-old team up with some seriously great musicians like Matt Sweeney, Chad Smith and The Attractions' Pete Thomas, and the record sees him refine his edgy folk songwriting nous further than before.
He plays three east coast club dates while he's here as one of the big names on the 2014 Bluesfest bill and we can pretty much guarantee you they're gonna sell out real quick. He's got brand new Brisbane band The Creases, who are one of the most hyped new bands in recent memory, and Western Australian rockers The Growl performing in acoustic mode as support for the dates, as if the presence of Bugg himself wasn't enough.
