How To Watch The Foo Fighters Stacked Taylor Hawkins Tribute Show

The Foo Fighters have revealed the full line-up and streaming details for the upcoming Taylor Hawkins tribute concert at London's Wembley Arena. 

Initially announced back in June, the tribute concert will see the remaining Foo Fighters joined by new additions Travis Barker, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Brian Johnson of AC/DC, James Gang, Kesha, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl's daughter Violet and Taylor Hawkins' son, Shane Hawkins

These acts add considerable additional star power to a stacked line-up that already features 

Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, RUSH's Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Liam Gallagher, Queen’s Roger Taylor and Brian May, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, The Police’s Stewart Copeland, Jane’s Addiction’s Chris Chaney, Queens of the Stone Age’s Joshua Homme and Alain Johannes, PretendersChrissie Hynde and many, many more. 

In exciting news for fans not able to make it to London for the event, the show will be streaming live globally via Pluto TV and on demand after the completion of the show from September 3 on Paramount+. One-hour and two-hour highlight packages of the show will then be made available for on-demand viewing via MTV Entertainment from September 4. 

Australians wanting to tune into the Wembley concert live can do so via either MTV's YouTube channel or Pluto TV. Both services broadcasts will begin on September 3 at 5:30 pm CEST, which is 1:30 AM AEST, Sunday, September 4.

Speaking on the announcement of the live stream, Paramount+'s Bruce Gillmer offered his thoughts "Taylor was not only an incredible drummer and musician but truly one of the most passionate super fans of music the world has seen. His infectious energy and unique talent will continue to live on through his vast body of work."

The first of two tribute shows, which have been approved by the late drummer Taylor Hawkins' family, the Wembley event will be followed by an equally star-studded event in Los Angeles on September 27. There are currently no known plans to stream the Los Angeles concert.

Merchandise and ticket sales from both shows will be donated to the charities Music Cares and Music Support.

Ahead of the performances, Hawkins' wife Alison also released her first statement following the passing of her husband, expressing her gratefulness for the outpouring of love from Foo Fighters fans across the world.

“My deepest thanks and admiration go out to the global Foo Fighters community and Taylor’s fans far and wide for the outpouring of love each and every one of you have shown our beloved Taylor.

"Your kindness has been an invaluable comfort for my family and me during this time of unimaginable grief."

She continued, "Taylor was honoured to be a part of the Foo Fighters and valued his dream role in the band every minute of his 25 years with them. We consider every band member and the extended Foo Fighters team our family.”

“Taylor’s endearing spirit and deep love of music will live on forever through the collaborations he so enjoyed having with other musicians and the catalog of songs he contributed to and created.

"In celebration of his life, it is now up to all of us who loved him most to honour Taylor’s legacy and the music he gave us.”
