Young Polish guitar prodigy Marcin Patrzalek, best known as Marcin, is heading to Australia for the first time this October.
Not just a guitarist (and certainly not just any guitar player), Marcin is also a composer, producer, and musical arranger. He first picked up a guitar at the age of ten and has since become a global phenomenon with his intricate, highly impressive playing style on classical guitars.
The 24-year-old musician is a pioneer of a percussive playing style that has its roots in flamenco and classical music. One of the most respected guitarists in the world, Marcin has earned the approval of notable musicians such as Tom Morello, Paul Stanley, Dweezil Zappa, Slash, Living Colour’s Vernon Reid, and Animals As Leaders’ Tosin Abasi.
Last year, Marcin released his long-awaited debut album, Dragon In Harmony, which features special guests such as the indie rock band Portugal. The Man, Polyphia’s Tim Henson, singer-songwriter Delaney Bailey, and renowned guitarist Ichika Nito.
Marcin will make his Australian debut this October. His Art of Guitar World Tour begins at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Sunday, 26 October. It continues at Sydney’s City Recital Hall on Tuesday, 28 October, and ends at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Wednesday, 29 October.
