He now faces up to 25 years in prison.

Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five founding member Kidd Creole, real name Nathaniel Glover, has been found guilty of manslaughter in the first degree.

As Pitchfork reports, the verdict was handed down in a New York Supreme Court and Glover now faces up to 25 years in prison.

Back in 2017 Glover was arrested and charged for stabbing 55-year-old homeless man John Jolly, who was a stranger to the rapper, to death in Midtown Manhattan.

In a statement following the verdict by a jury, District Attorney Bragg said that “Nathaniel Glover committed a shocking act of violence”.

“This conviction makes clear my office will hold people who commit violent crime accountable to the full extent of the law. I thank the members of the jury for their attention to this case and careful deliberation," he said.

“I also applaud our prosecutors, whose diligence and tireless effort to ensure justice led to this conviction. We will continue to use every tool at our disposal to deliver the safe streets and communities that New Yorkers deserve.”

During the trial, prosecutors said that Glover stabbed the victim after being enraged over the fact he believed that Jolly was hitting on him.

Glover is expected to be sentenced in early May.
