It's almost a better result for the local chanteuse than she managed here at home

World-beating Australian singer-songwriter Grace has continued to make a splash overseas, steering her first full-length album, FMA, to a top-40-placing debut on this week's Billboard 200 albums chart.

The ascendant muso's inaugural record entered the playing field at an impressive #34, the fifth-highest new entry on the ladder and only two rungs below her debut on the local ARIA Chart (#32) although, given the size and scope of the US charts in comparison with our own, it could be argued she's technically outperformed her local results despite the nominally lower entry point.

A lot of the strength of her album's entry is likely due to the phenomenal success of her single with G-EazyYou Don't Own Me, which itself sees a considerable spike from #75 to #58 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Way down the pointy end of the Albums list, blink-182's comeback album, California, has knocked Drake off his pedestal to claim the top spot and send Views down to #2, while Maxwell's blackSUMMERS'night cruises into #3, just ahead of Beyonce's still-vital Lemonade (#4) and twenty one pilots' unkillable Blurryface (#5). Meanwhile, the only other new full-length entrants to outpace Grace this week are Bobby Tarantino, whose Logic steps into the top 20 at #16, and Desiigner, whose New English isn't too far behind, at #22.

The higher end of the Singles chart is comprised of familiar faces — Fergie's new cut M.I.L.F.$ is the highest new face at #34 — with the top three (Drake's One Dance ft. WizKid KylaJustin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling; and The ChainsmokersDon't Let Me Down ft. Daya, respectively) remaining unmoved from their previous positions, and the remainder of the top 10 all having placed in or near their current spots last week. Both Calvin Harris (This Is What You Came For ft. Rihanna) and Sia (Cheap Thrills ft. Sean Paul) step up a place each to hit #4 and #5 respectively, sending Desiigner's Panda down two spots to #6, while Rihanna (Needed Me) stays at #7. Twenty one pilots step up to #8 with Ride as Kent Jones (Don't Mind) slips to #9, and Fifth Harmony keep it steady at #10 with Work From Home, ft. Ty Dolla $ign.
