With six months to go before kick-off, the annual Good Things festival has locked in dates for its 2026 event.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday evening, the festival shared its first post in weeks, looking forward to their next event. “Miss us? We missed you more,” the post included in its caption, revealing the dates for its next event.

As is standard, the festival will take the Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane route, launching on Friday December 5th, and wrapping up on Sunday, December 6th.

Currently, no venues have been announced, however both Melbourne and Brisbane have held every event at the Flemington Racecourse and Brisbane Showgrounds, respectively, since its inception.

Sydney, however, shifted locations last year, moving away from Centennial Park after five years to the Sydney Showground instead. Full confirmation of venues is expected soon.

The 2026 edition of Good Things will serve as the festival's seventh outing, having launched in 2018 and occurred annually save for a two-year fallow period in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID. Last year’s event was a massive affair, headlined by metal idols Tool, alternative veterans Weezer, and beloved rock legends Garbage.

Wrapping up their 2025 event in early December, organisers wasted almost no time in looking ahead to what was next, sharing an email to punters just before Christmas to thank ticketholders for their support and saying they “look forward” to welcoming fans again next year.

“What an amazing weekend of events that was! We are so happy to have been able to deliver another year of Good Things to the best music community in Australia, hands down,” a notice from the festival read.

It continued, “Thank you for being a part of the extended GT family, and for supporting live music.

“We will be back in 2026 and look forward to welcoming you again next year!”

On Instagram, they added, “See you in 2026, right? We’re counting the days already.”

Currently, line-up details are yet to be revealed, though organisers have urged interested punters to head to their website to stay up to date for information and first access to tickets.

Some fans have already begun to speculate that, given the festival’s current logo is an amalgamation of previous logos, the 2026 bill might be a retrospective affair comprising previous acts.

The festival’s Instagram account shut down this theory with a laugh, noting “that is not why the logo is a mix - we needed an off season logo!” Stay tuned for line-up details in the near future.
