The cult hit's complete series will be released in July
Slackers and nerds (and anyone else who's interested) rejoice – indie Australian DVD label Via Vision today announced that it would be making available Paul Feig's seminal but short-lived series Freaks And Geeks to audiences down under from July 23.
Freaks And Geeks: The Complete Series comes stuffed full of bonus content, including nearly 30 commentary tracks, two hours of new show material, behind-the-scenes footage, bloopers and more.
If you're too young to remember the show, or somehow otherwise haven't been exposed to it (you are on the internet, aren't you?), Freaks And Geeks – which sported Judd Apatow as its executive producer – achieved a cult following its season-long life-span at the turn of the century (wow).
Channelling the classic feel of '80s high school films for a modern audience, the show starred Linda Cardellini (Mad Men) as the self-discovering teen Lindsay Weir and provided teeth-cutting facilities for future stars such as Seth Rogen, James Franco and Jason Segel, Silicon Valley's Martin Starr, and actor (Bones)/writer (Horrible Bosses) John Francis Daley, whose character's major claim to fame is pulling this face:

The show's short run has been lamented since its cancellation, and even though there have been other means both above-board and underhanded for Australian audiences to have experienced it, this marks the first time the complete series has been released in DVD format in the country, so it's the perfect time to introduce yourself to or reacquaint yourself with the kids from William McKinley High School.
