The 2020 Eurovision - Australia Decides competition is only a few months away and now the final contestants in the running have been revealed. 

BIGSOUND buzz act Jaguar Jonze has thrown her hat in the ring to represent Australia at next year's Eurovision. 

“For me, Eurovision – Australia Decides is a massive opportunity to show Australia who I am as an artist and what I’m passionate about," said Jonze (real name Deena Lynch).

"The selected 10 artists are all so talented and I’d be so happy for any one of us to represent Australia in Eurovision. I think it shows the diverse pool of creativity and talent in this nation and I’m honoured to be a part of it. 


"I've always taken Eurovision to be about each country, and each artist expressing their individuality without boundaries. So much of Jaguar Jonze is about honesty and vulnerability and I’m excited to express the uniqueness that comes with it."

Joining Jaguar Jonze will be Jack Vidgen, Diana Rouvas and Jordan-Ravi, who will compete alongside previously announced contestants Montaigne, DidirriVanessa Amorosi, Casey Donovan, Mitch Tambo and iOTA.

Eurovision - Australia Decides takes place on the Gold Coast from 7 February and airs the next night on SBS.

The inaugural Australia Decides competition featured big names like Sheppard, Courtney Act and Ella Hooper, as well as a breakout performance by BIGSOUND 2019 act Electric Fields, while Kate Miller-Heidke went on to win.

Miller-Heidke finished in ninth spot at Eurovision 2019 with her original song, Zero Gravity, while The Netherlands’ Duncan Laurence was crowned the winner.
