"They are one of a next generation of Australian record labels doing things completely independently, and ready to take on the world.”

Sydney-based indie label Double Drummer has today announced a new global label distribution deal with the local arm of independent artist and label services company, Believe.

Since launching in 2016, Double Drummer - led by the father and son team of Tim and Edward Prescott - has built an impressive roster that includes Cousin Tony's Brand New Firebird, Greta Stanley, Dominic Breen, Fresco Kyoto, and Dust Of Us

The new deal will "will empower Double Drummer to develop impactful local and international marketing campaigns, complemented by promotional support and a committed worldwide digital distribution team".

“We are all thrilled to welcome Double Drummer to the Believe Label Family," Believe Australia Managing Director Mick Tarbuk said.

"Tim and Edward have built an inspiring roster of Australian artists, we can't wait to get started!”

Tim Prescott added, "Our label evolved purely to support our artists. I'm excited that Believe share our love of their music; and see a big future for them, and for Double Drummer. This relationship expands our team, and our horizons.

"Thanks Believe for believing!"

Double Drummer's first release with Believe will drop on 18 November with Dominic Breen's new single, Love Lost, and Dust Of Us' Punching Bag.
