The veteran Aussie muso hits the road with his band for six dates in May and June
Aussie rock stalwart Don Walker — he of Cold Chisel and Tex, Don & Charlie fame — will embark on an east-coast tour in May and June with his band The Suave Fucks.
While his band's name alone is reason enough to catch the legend on-stage, Walker's back catalogue of tracks is not to be missed. Fans will have ample opportunity to do so when he hits the road from Friday 27 May, when he gets under way at Marrickville's Camelot Lounge. From there, Walker and his crew will tackle the Bowral Bowling Club (28 May), Melbourne's Memo Music Hall (Friday 3 June) and Oakleigh's Caravan Music Club (4 June) before heading to the NSW north coast for shows at the Bellingen Golf Club (Friday 10 June) and the Mullumbimby Ex-Services Club (11 June), where the tour comes to its close.
Few songwriters capture the darker side of Australian life quite like Walker, and the man behind such Chisel classics as Khe Sahn and Cheap Wine shows no signs of slowing down creatively; while his last solo album, Cutting Back, was released in 2006, Walker and his band will be armed with both new and old tracks sure to please fans of every age.
Tickets for all shows are available now through a variety of outlets; for a full rundown of booking information for Don Walker & The Suave Fucks' upcoming tour, hit theGuide or see The Music App.
