UsherThe king of throwback and one of the most glorious voices ever Usher has performed an incredible set as a part of NPR's Tiny Desk Concert.
The R&B and dance superstar performed some of his greatest hits amongst a huge acoustic band, clad in all black. He delivered in the fullest capacity, performing songs from across to decades.
The show opened with a song from his second studio album My Way, his 1997 hit, You Make Me Wanna, which turns 25 years old in August. Then followed Superstar, U Don't Have To call, Nice & Slow, a sing a long worthy Confessions Part II and My Way,
The show was held right before his headline appearance at Something In The Water Festival, as the office audience screamed their appraisal of the legend's classic tracks with new and subtle rearrangements.
During the show he shared the joy of performing the tracks stating, “This is Black magic right here, I really, really am happy just to be able to celebrate all the years of music.”
The performance follows another one of our personal favourite Tiny Desk Concert's by Miami-rap mogul Denzel Curry. The South Florida rapper took the shows acoustic ethos to a whole new level, reconfiguring a range of his tracks throughout his illustrious discography with a his nine-piece Cold-Blooded Soul Band for a six track set. The performance ranged four years of music and featured song from four albums.
