Cold ChiselDays Like These… With Diesel will wrap tonight with an episode on Aussie icons Cold Chisel.
The season finale, airing at 8:30pm on ABC TV Plus and ABC iView, will see host Mark Lizotte take a deep dive into the band’s iconic concerts at The Hordern in 2003.
Days Like These... With Diesel revisits “some of the most brilliant and unforgettable moments in Australian music history”.
Premiering earlier this year, Jet’s 2004 performance at The Forum kicked things off before Baby Animals, Hunters & Collectors, The Angels, Diesel, Rose Tattoo, Jimmy Barnes, Eurogliders, Archie Roach, Icehouse and Troy Cassar-Daley were featured.
When the series was first announced, Lizotte said: “Days Like These…with Diesel has been an absolute delight and honour to host. The series brings together some of the most quintessential Australian bands from the past few decades that help define our nation’s recent music past, and celebrates important moments in their concert history."
The 12 episodes feature a mix of archival footage and interviews to revisit Australia's most iconic concerts and tell the stories behind them.
Lizotte chats to the people who were at these seminal shows, from band members, tour managers as well as musicians from other groups in attendance. He explores the reasons that these concerts were such memorable events, showcasing the unique circumstances that led to each of the shows.
