“You really had to be ready, and I’m not sure I was.”

Hunters & Collectors' history-making farewell show at Selina’s in Sydney in 1998 will be featured tonight as part of ongoing documentary series Days Like These...with Diesel.

Episode three in a series of 12 will premiere tonight at 8:30pm on ABC TV Plus and ABC iView, featuring interviews with band members Mark Seymour, Doug Falconer and John Archer recalling the iconic event alongside archival footage and more.

In a trailer for the series, Seymour teases: “You really had to be ready, and I’m not sure I was.”

Hosted by musician Mark Lizotte, aka Diesel, Days Like These... revisits “some of the most brilliant and unforgettable moments in Australian music history”.

Jet’s 2004 performance at The Forum kicked things off earlier this month before Baby Animals were featured in episode two.

Following Hunters & Collectors tonight, episodes on The Angels, Diesel, Rose Tattoo and Jimmy Barnes will run into June before Eurogliders, Archie Roach, Icehouse, Troy Cassar-Daley and Cold Chisel feature later in the year.

When the series was first announced, Lizotte said: “Days Like These…with Diesel has been an absolute delight and honour to host.

“The series brings together some of the most quintessential Australian bands from the past few decades, that help define our nation’s recent music past, and celebrates important, moments in their concert history."
