While Good Things Festival organisers revealed the dates for this year’s travelling event (and confirmed it would go ahead in 2025) back in April, today, the venues have been announced.
In exciting news for Sydneysiders, the venue has been upgraded to allow for more punters, more shade, existing facilities, and more accessible transport options. Moving from Centennial Park to the Sydney Showground, Good Things in NSW will take place on Saturday, 6 December.
Melbourne and Brisbane venues remain the same – Good Things will stop at the Flemington Racecourse on Friday, 5 December, and the Brisbane Showgrounds on Sunday, 7 December.
According to a press release and the Good Things social media accounts, the line-up for this year’s festival will be announced “soon.” Punters have been advised to save the dates and sign up for updates via the Good Things Festival website.
Last year’s line-up was headlined by nu-metal icons Korn, followed by Sum 41 and Violent Femmes in second and third position on the line-up poster. However, Sum 41 had to pull out of their Australian dates after frontman Deryck Whibley was diagnosed with pneumonia.

The festival also secured Electric Callboy, Mastodon, Billy Corgan (performing with The Delta Riggs), The Gaslight Anthem, L7, The Living End, Jet, Alpha Wolf, Loathe, Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls, Killing Heidi, Alex Lahey, and more.
Reviewing last year’s event in Sydney, The Music’s Alasdair Belling wrote, “Good Things has become a wonderful staple of the heavy music festival calendar. Not even the rain and the heat could detract from what was – for the most part – a fun day.”
