Good things come to those who wait, and for Good Things Festival punters, they didn’t have to wait too long for last night’s news.

Yesterday (14 April), Good Things organisers confirmed that this year’s festival would go ahead and revealed the dates. As always, the Melbourne date is on a Friday, Sydney on a Saturday, and Brisbane on a Sunday.

Save the dates and book your leave nice and early if you need:

Good Things Festival – 2025 Dates

Friday, 5 December – Melbourne

Saturday, 6 December – Sydney

Sunday, 7 December – Brisbane

Unfortunately for hard rock and heavy metal fans who also love Lady Gaga, the Melbourne date clashes with the singer’s highly anticipated show at Marvel Stadium. If that isn’t an issue for you, you can keep up with Good Things as it shares more updates on the festival website and social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more.

Last year’s line-up was headlined by nu-metal icons Korn, followed by Sum 41 and Violent Femmes in second and third position on the line-up poster. However, Sum 41 had to pull out of their Australian dates after frontman Deryck Whibley was diagnosed with pneumonia.

The festival also secured Electric Callboy, Mastodon, Billy Corgan (performing with The Delta Riggs), The Gaslight Anthem, L7, The Living End, Jet, Alpha Wolf, Loathe, Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls, Killing Heidi, Alex Lahey, and more.

Reviewing last year’s event in Sydney, The Music’s Alasdair Belling wrote, “Korn closed out Good Things with a successful set that capped off their remarkable late-career resurgence - the last time they toured down under was for Soundwave 2014 where they played a middle-of-the-day slot - and the multi-generational appeal of the Bakersfield Nu Metallers meant that a whole new swathe of Australians were initiated in 90s Adidas-core.

“Good Things has become a wonderful staple of the heavy music festival calendar. Not even the rain and the heat could detract from what was – for the most part – a fun day.”
