They have an invitation but they need more shows to make it worthwhile.
Recently reformed (former) Australian post-punk outfit Crime & The CIty Solution have indicated that they have an offer to tour Australia, which they'd like to accept, but will need assistance in doing.
The band, led by the now Detroit-based Simon Bonney, reformed earlier this year with a line up that also includes Bronwyn Adams, Alexander Hacke, David Eugene Edwards, Troy Gregory, Danielle de Picciotto, Matthew Smith and Jim White and have made a new record to be released through Mute early next year.
The band have also been offered the chance to perform at next year's All Tomorrow's Parties commissioned I'll Be Your Mirror event in Melbourne but indicated on their Facebook page that they might not be able to make it unless they can find more shows in suitable venues.
The fact that they are such a large band, all based in different parts of the world, and the scale of their large show means that they have rather specific requirements to make the shows work, Bonney said on the band's Facebook page.

"Our attempts to play Australia are hurtling into the abyss so I thought I'd put it out there to see if we can save the whole thing. The story: we have an offer to play ATP but we need shows in at least Sydney and Melbourne to cover costs - if a brave promoter with good taste is out there and is interested let us know and we can put you in contact with our booker.
"Bare in mind we are eight and we use back projection so we need to be able to fit on the stage (comfortably) and have enough clearance to run the back projection."
A number of promoters have been suggested by fans of the band, but Heathen Skulls' Robert MacManus has leapt at the chance to present the shows, saying on Facebook he'll be willing to present the band in Sydney and Melbourne so long as it is financially viable.
