"I am thrilled to curate an expanded year-round program that will engage and delight new and diverse audiences."
Music industry veteran Stuart Rogers is confirmed to be taking on the role of Director of Programming at famous Sydney venue City Recital Hall in 2021.
Having previously run his own artist management company in New York from 2005-2013 with a roster that included Beth Orton and Xylouris White, Rogers moved on in 2014 to work as Program Manager for Sydney Festival until 2018.
In that time, Rogers curated over 250 shows for local and international acts including Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kate Tempest and Moses Sumney.
Since then, Rogers has worked in the US as Head of Music and Festivals at new contemporary arts centre, The Momentary.
“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to expand and reimagine the possibilities for contemporary music delivered in the most acoustically spectacular room in the country," Rogers said.
"City Recital Hall is poised to further grow its place as a bedrock at the heart of Sydney’s cultural scene and I am thrilled to curate an expanded year-round program that will engage and delight new and diverse audiences."
