The annual Brunswick Music Festival has expanded its 2025 lineup, adding more “weird and wonderful” events to its upcoming programming.

Running from March 2nd – 10th, the Brunswick Music Festival will launch with the annual Sydney Road Street Party before jumping right into 40 gigs over nine days in Melbourne’s live music capital.

Back in early December, organisers shared the details of its upcoming lineup, with huge names like Miss Kaninna and Elsy Wameyo performing on the same night, US hip hop royalty Bahamadia teaming up with Kaiit, and events that feature the likes of Ruby Gill, Porpoise Spit, Merpire, Pachyman, Gamelan DanAnda, Bonny Light Horseman, and more.

Now, with a matter of weeks to go until things kick off for 2025, more names have been added to the eclectic lineup.

Attendees are invited to attend a sonic collage experience at Sydney Road collage studio That Paper Joint, a messy punk rock show at Brunswick's iconic mid-century library, and to inhabit Mz Rizk’s special celebration of Arabic culture, Habibi Hafla in Brunswick East’s Fleming Park.

Finally, the new Yubup Park will host Kutcha And Friends, while the Brunswick Baths’ will be the home to the Sara Rettalick-commissioned Saturate, an event described as “an unparalleled underwater listening experience”.

“The Brunswick Music Festival continues to be a shining example of Merri-bek’s creativity, diversity, and community spirit,” explained Merri-bek City Council Mayor Helen Davidson. “By embracing unique spaces and fresh ideas, the 2025 festival guarantees unforgettable experiences for everyone.

“I’m proud to see Merri-bek at the heart of this innovation, proving once again that our city thrives on collaboration and creativity.”
