Three bands have withdrawn.
Three US bands set to appear at Victoria’s Boogie Festival have cancelled their appearance at the event, but organisers are still hopeful it will go ahead.
Festival acts Endless Boogie, Howlin’ Rain and Twin Peaks have today announced that their headline tours of the country, which included appearances at the festival, have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite this, and growing concerns around the rate in which COVID is spreading in Victoria, Boogie Festival is still scheduled to process in late October, “until authorities definitely advise it can't take place”.
"Given the endurance of the global pandemic and the ongoing uncertainty of when we will safely be able to play shows again, we are officially cancelling our Australia tour in October,” Twin Peaks said.
“We won’t be rescheduling at this time, as the longevity of this situation remains unknown to us all.
“This is a huge bummer for us — we’ve really loved our tours in Australia and were floored by the support on our last tour October 2018 — but we are absolutely certain this is the right decision to make.

It’s expected that, if Boogie Festival does proceed, it will feature a local line-up.
The three-day camping event was originally scheduled for this past April, but was forced to reschedule in mid-March.
