With COVID restrictions beginning to ease around the country, some live venues have already locked in comebacks... within the rules, of course.
In Melbourne, the Prince Bandroom in St Kilda has announced that this Saturday night DJ's including John Course, Generik, Andy Murphy and Sgt Slick will take part in a 10-hour live-streamed show, however a group of 20 people will be allowed into the venue to see all of the action.
For $5000 ($250 per person) the 20-person group will experience a four-course dinner from Prince Dining Room, drinks package, private butler, and a birds-eye view of the show... and yes, discoballs and smoke machine are an option too.
“I’ve been playing from my home for 10 weeks now and the community spirit and feedback has been really awesome,” Course said
“It’s great to be able to put together a bigger show with some of my favourite Melbourne DJs and friends, not to mention broadcast it from The Prince where I have spent so much time playing throughout my career at Onelove, Reminisce and my own events.”

Meanwhile in Sydney, Bondi Beach Public Bar will re-launch its Friday and Saturday night DJ sets featuring some of the city's favourite acts, including DJ Levins this Friday, however only in a "restricted capacity vibe dining mode", meaning no standing is allowed.
The new regulations allow Public Bar to host 50 people in its bar, 50 in its dining area and 50 in its outdoor area giving.
“I haven’t DJd for almost three months and I’ve spent all that time missing the atmosphere of playing music to a crowd, setting the vibe for a group of people on their night out together," Levins said.
"I’m super excited to be doing it again this Friday at Public Bar - I thought I wouldn’t be DJing again until next year!"
The Bondi Beach Public Bar will also celebrate the reopening by giving all patrons 50% off all food on the menu for the entire month of June.
