These three legendary punk rock band will play shows around the country together.
Final dates for Blondie's forthcoming tour of Australia have been confirmed today, with the band to be joined by none other than The Stranglers and The Saints for shows across the country.
Blondie oughtn't require an introduction; one of the more groundbreaking pop groups in history, their brand of new-wave music incorporating elements of punk, pop, hip hop, disco and reggae while still somehow maintaining a relatively congruent sound overall. Front woman Debbie Harry is as iconic a rock star as you can get and she still delivers on stage after all these years.
The Stranglers might be up to their third lead singer in their almost 40-year-long career, but they are still going strong with three-quarters of the band having been there for the long haul. The Saints is a bit of a different story, the band has long been the project of Chris Bailey and no other original members, but with a new record to push and plenty of great songs from throughout the years, they'll still be well worth arriving early for.
In Sydney, The Saints will not be playing, instead they will be replaced by '80s dance pop sensations Machinations.
