blink-182US rockers blink-182 are teasing the 25th anniversary of their fourth record, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket.
Released on 12 June 2001, it seems that an official announcement about the milestone anniversary is coming on that day, 25 years later: this Friday.
Not much is known about what’s to come, but blink-182 started teasing by sharing an image of the album artwork on social media, with a link to sign up for more information.
Upon clicking on the link, fans can find a nostalgic image of the band members—guitarist Tom DeLonge, bassist Mark Hoppus, and drummer Travis Barker—from 25 years ago. Check out the teaser below.
Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is home to three hit singles—The Rock Show, Stay Together for the Kids, and First Date. To promote the album, blink-182 embarked on a co-headline run with Green Day: the 47-date Pop Disaster Tour across the US and Canada. Before that tour, blink-182 presented the album to fans in Australia and New Zealand in April 2001.
In Australia, the album debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart before being certified Platinum.

In 2019, blink-182 celebrated the 20th anniversary of their third album, 1999’s Enema of the State, by playing it live on tour across the US, during a co-headline run with Lil Wayne.
At the time of publication, it’s uncertain whether the band will embark on another tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket or if they’ll release a 25th anniversary edition of the album. Stay tuned for more details.
In 2024, blink-182 returned to Australia for a 15-date tour with special guests Rise Against. The shows marked their first run Down Under since 2013 (Travis Barker hadn’t set foot on our shores for an even longer period).
The band played 27-song setlists in Australia, which included seven tracks from their latest LP, One More Time…, with fans down under being treated to the live debuts of Fuck Face, Turpentine and Anthem Pt 3 (the latter played in full for the first time).
