Victorian multi-day music festival Beyond The Valley is gearing up for its 2024/25 return.
Ahead of dropping the line-up and details for its forthcoming New Year’s Eve event, today, organisers shared a teaser video hinting at this year’s theme: Experience Life In Technicolour.
In the video, Beyond The Valley paid tribute to classic films like Pleasantville and The Wizard Of Oz, showcasing people going about their ordinary lives in black-and-white, but anything related to the festival is lit up in bright colours. You can watch the teaser video below.
The soundtrack to the video is If U Need It by UK producer Sammy Virji, so it’s safe to assume that the artist will be coming down under for the festival. Other hints in the video include the namedrops of Joy Anonymous and Teenage Dads.
In a statement, Christian Serrao, the co-founder and Managing Partner of Untitled Group, which presents Beyond The Valley and other music festivals including Pitch, Ability Fest, Wildlands, and Grapevine Gathering, said of today’s teaser:
We wanted to take a different approach to launch Beyond The Valley this year. Amid ongoing discussions surrounding the challenges festivals face globally, we aim to remind everyone of the joy and vibrancy that festivals bring to people’s lives. Our teaser video encapsulates this by portraying ordinary life as dull and monochrome, which comes to life and colour through Beyond The Valley.
The festival returns during the New Year’s Period from 27 December 2024 to 1 January 2025. While punters have been waiting for the line-up to be announced, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive—you can check out some of the speculation here.

More Beyond The Valley news will be dropping in the coming weeks.
But until then, here’s a reminder of last year’s event, which moved 35,000 tickets in under a week (camping also sold out almost immediately). Festival organisers revealed that the event had witnessed “record-breaking sales” by sporting a line-up with the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL, Peggy Gou, Central Cee, FERG, Destroy Lonely, and more.
Last month, Beyond The Valley was named one of the best music festivals in the world, becoming the only Australian event to make DJ Mag’s prestigious Top 100 Festivals List.
