Aussie Artist Breaks Leg At Local Music Festival

"Might be playing shows on crutches for the next little bit."

More Alice Ivy Alice Ivy Profile

Soul-electro artist Alice Ivy has broken her leg after playing at two music festivals in Melbourne over the weekend.

The local singer, who had performed at Queenscliff Music Festival on Friday, was taken to hospital in an ambulance after her Paradise Music Festival on Saturday.

While the details of the accident which led to her hospitalisation are yet to be revealed, Ivy's management confirmed the incident occurred after she finished her festival spots.

"Alice Ivy played two of the best performances of her young career at Queenscliff and Paradise Music Festival over the weekend prior to suffering a broken leg necessitating her first ever trip to hospital," a statement from Ivy's management given exclusively to The Music reads.

"Pending stern medical advice to the contrary she's adamant that she will fulfil all of her upcoming tour dates in plaster, on crutches, whatever it takes."

Ivy yesterday posted a picture of herself in an ambulance to her Facebook page — check it out below.

Fans can next catch Ivy live (cast and all) at The Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne with Saatsuma on 15 December — click on theGuide for more details.
