It took a 'Dangerous Woman' to bring down Urban
It seemed although nothing was going to bump Keith Urban’s new record from first place on the ARIA Albums Chart, but after a two week stint at #1, US pop star Ariana Grande has claimed the throne with her new record, Dangerous Woman.
The third album from the 22 year old knocked Urban’s ninth record, Ripcord, down to #3, after a two weeks at #1 in Australia that saw him block Radiohead, The Living End and Paul Dempsey from top honours.
Ripcord has also spent the past two weeks at #1 on the Canadian Billboard Country chart and US Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
The top five sees a pop overload, with Beyonce’s Lemonade holding steady at #2, Meghan Trainor’s Thank You moving down to #4 and Adele’s 25 at #5.
