Apple Music has been ordered to re-edit an advertisement featuring Delta Goodrem following a complaint that the clip "does not promote safe driving".

The ad shows the Australian artist sitting in the passenger seat of a car, while singing and dancing to music and putting her head and arms outside of the vehicle.

As Mumbrella reports, the Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) have taken action on a complaint which said of Goodrem "as a young woman who is a role model this sets a bad example and is illegal".

The ASB concluded that "a depiction of Delta dancing and moving around in a motor vehicle with no clearly visible safety belt is likely to imply to younger viewers that no seatbelt is being worn and that a relaxed attitude to safety in a moving motor vehicle is acceptable".

Apple have since issued a statement, saying they are "disappointed" with the verdict and that it takes "health and safety very seriously".

Networks currently airing the commercial have been instructed to cease doing so until edits are made, which includes cutting any visuals of Goodrem's arms hanging out of the car window.

The news comes only weeks after the singer's license was reportedly suspended for speeding.
