World-beating Australian DJ and producer Alison Wonderland has had enough of the sexist discourse that follows her social posts, sharing a message to all the sexist internet trolls who continue to act like “fucking creeps.”
Wonderland (born Alexandra Sholler) was forced to respond to the online comments following a recent post in which she shared an image of herself with former professional basketballer Shaquille O'Neal. Also known by his musical moniker DJ Diesel, Wonderland shared an image which was taken shortly after the 7’1” sportsman lifted her into the air.
“Dj who plays basketball 🤝 dj with basketball in her belly = dj holding other djs belly like a basketball,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s simple math.”
Before too long, the Aussie musician’s social media feed was flooded with comments from users who made highly-sexualised comments focusing on Wonderland’s pregnancy, any perceived relationship between her and O’Neal, and myriad other topics.
As one user on Instagram wrote, “Some of these comments are so freaking weird. Like who raised yall.”

Wonderland herself took to Twitter to address the disgusting discourse, writing: “I see so many comments like this if I post a man next to me. And honestly I’m fucking sick of it.”
“Comments about how I must be fucking the person I’m in the photo with…hell, even when I announced my second pregnancy there are comments saying shit like ‘oh she must love getting cream pied’ like bro I’m married with a kid,” she continued. “It’s not that crazy.
“Like sorry I can throw down and have a family at the same time??? (Plot twist I’m not sorry cos I’m a fucking bad ass). Anyways…LOSER behaviour.”
“Shout out all the women in the edm scene who have to deal with fucking creeps,” she wrote in a follow-up message. “I see you. Its gross. I’ll kick all their asses for u.”
Wonderland's comments come in the lead-up to her fourth album, Ghost World, which is scheduled to release on October 3rd.
